Kindly find enclosed the renewal letter extending the validity of the agreement between UNESCO and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, concerning the UNESCO Chair on Industrial Heritage. Kindly note that the agreement shall remain valid until 30 June 2025.
Important information:
· CHAIRHOLDER. UNESCO notes that Professor Guo Yuemei will continue to serve as Chairholder. The appointment of a new Chairholder/Co-chairholder is subject to UNESCO approval.
· CHAIR TEAM. In addition to the Chairholder, we encourage you to regularly update the contact information of the members of the Chair’s team. This will ensure that UNESCO communication and invitation for engagement reaches all members of the Chair. Kindly communicate this information to us by email at unitwin@unesco.org
· ID. The updated UNESCO Chair unique identifier is ID 2017CN1241. Kindly use it in all your communications with UNESCO.
· GUIDELINES. The host institution and UNESCO Chair are invited to consult the revised UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme guidelines and procedures (March 2022), and to consult the dedicated webpage for latest information, updates, and opportunities for engagement with the programme: https://www.unesco.org/en/unitwin
· LOGO. The host institution is authorized to use the enclosed UNESCO Chair logo in its activities and communication materials, within the framework of the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme. Guidance on the use of the logo can be found in the abovementioned guidelines.
· RENEWAL. Should the host institution wish to pursue the activities of the UNESCO Chair beyond this initial period, a formal request to renew the validity of the agreement must be submitted through UNITWIN Management Platform six months before the expiry date of the current agreement. To ensure that all UNESCO Chairs and Networks are contributing to UNESCO’s programme and priorities, a revised set of criteria will be used in the evaluation of requests for renewal, as published in Annex B of the revised UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme guidelines and procedures (March 2022).Kindly check UNITWIN website for the guidelines and procedures on how to submit a request for renewal.
· UNESCO FOCAL POINT(S). The UNESCO Chair team is encouraged to contact their focal point(s) to explore possibilities for further collaborations with UNESCO.
· NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR UNESCO. You are encouraged to regularly engage with the National Commission for UNESCO of your country. National Commissions play a critical coordination and monitoring role and contribute to the success of the programme.
·
